Builder was constructing a new home for a client and need structural engineering plans. CSE was contracted to create a full set of structural plans including framing, windstorm, and foundation.
Home owner wanted to remove a load bearing wall between the kitchen and dining room. CSE provided structural plans for the demolition, sizing of the new load bearing beams, and plans showing the framing for the rest of the house as information for future remodel work.
Property owner was in the process of selling this home when the inspector discovered cracks in the brick. CSE was then called to assess if the foundation settlement was problematic and we were able to inform the owner and buyer with more details.
Property owner remodeled the exterior of the building without pulling the proper permits. CSE was then contracted, we created existing building plans, inspected the performed work, made recommendations, and worked with the city to ensure that the final product was approved by the city.
